The Musical Genome Project* is a new sampleset series by Nucleus SoundLab for Wusikstation, Reason 3, Soundfont and Kontakt/SFZ. MGP concentrates on inexpensive, sub-$30 libraries focused around specific musical themes. The goal of MGP is high-quality sounds everyone can afford.

Perfect Fifths is the second sampleset in the Musical Genome Project series. Perfect Fifths consists of electric guitar powerchords well-suited for the creation of heavy music styles.

Perfect Fifths consists of a classic Les Paul guitar played through a a Marshall JCM800 amp. This classic rock combination was recorded both sustained and muted. No loops were used and the sustained samples are typically 20+ seconds long.

Multiple downstroke samples are included to allow for fast, natural-sounding playback in all genre-types. No 'machine-gun effect' is present, unless you want it. Alternatively, you can use the multiple strokes to create stereo, 'multi-track'-style powerchord patches with awesome depth.
