Our Philosophy
Nucleus SoundLab is not a generic sample development site - created to sell as many 'beats' as possible before a new fad arrives. Sound Design is our passion, and we strive to create a sustainable business that will serve our customers long-term. This all comes together in our core business philosophy.
- Uniquely-crafted beyond your expectations. We work to bring you sounds that go beyond what you've heard before, or what others are doing.
- Sounds not limited by genre A good sounds is a good sound - regardless of genre. You won't find sounds specifically crafted to fit a sub-genre's specific 'needs'. Instead, you may find Nucleus SoundLab sounds can break you out of a limiting genre and bring new life to your compositions.
- Affordable By any measure, Nucleus SoundLab sounds are an excellent value. We strive to keep that value high, by keeping our prices relatively stable all year round. Additionally, returning customers always get a discount on newly released products.
- Educational Knowledge is meant to be shared, not hoarded. With many of our products, you'll find additional features such as patch notes, documentation that will bring into focus some of the advanced techniques used in the sounds' creation. Furthermore, this goal is accomplished with affordable tutorial products such as Reason Wizardry.
Our Reason Refills
Our Reason Refills are very unique in the industry. With so much free and commercial content out there, its very important for us to focus on quality and set the bar very high. To that end, we've introduced a number of innovations:
- Unique patches. Most of our ReFills feature Combinators that are unique and created from scratch. This means that instead of creating ten template patches and then creating ten variants of each template, we create one hundred unique patches. In the end, customers get more true content this way, and less filler.
- Full Combinator Controls mapping. Our goal is to give users as complete and simple controls to tweak a patch as possible. Therefore, we always uniquely map Combinator Rotaries, Buttons and modwheel to useful and creative parameters.
- Comprehensive Documentation. Creating complex patches doesn't have to mean they are difficult to use. For this reason, each of our Combinator patches in most ReFills come with extremely detailed documentation so you can easily figure out how to best make use of it. Not only that, but if you are into sound design you'll learn some of the secrets behind the patches creation!
